Why cold water?
Splashing cold water on your face activates the dive reflex โ your body's natural calm response. It slows your heart rate and quiets stress in seconds.

Run cold water and splash it on your face 3 times. Or hold a cold damp cloth to your cheeks and forehead for 30 seconds. Focus on the sensation โ cool, present, real.
